The 20th edition of the “1000 km Hesper” race took place this Sunday, 14th July 2019. The committee of the “Laftreff Hesper”, as well as the municipality of Hesperange, succeeded in organising an event with the goal to run a total of at least 1000 kilometres. The record to beat this year? 8.850 kilometres (in 2004). The planned course is two kilometres, but the participants are free to do as many laps as they wish.
The 2019 edition gathered 660 participants who ran 7118 kilometres . The funds raised will be used to support the association “Handicap International”.
Labgroup would like to congratulate Sebastian schulz for his performance at the event “1000 KM Hesper – 20th Edition”, supporting the association “Handicap International”. Sebastian contributed to this number with an outstanding performance of 24 KM run.

Like every year, it was a great event. There were a good spirit and relaxed atmosphere amongst the participants of all ages. The little plus this year – the weather! For once, it was not boiling hot, very pleasant for the runners. I will definitely be back next year.
